Flow, Turbulence and Combustion is published in association with the European Research Community on Flow, Turbulence and Combustion (ERCOFTAC). ERCOFTAC is a collaboration between European universities, research institutes and industry active in the area of applied fluid mechanics, and strongly promotes scientific research on current issues in this area. A turbulence model is proposed for the prediction of boundary-layer flows near walls. Two differential equations are solved: one for the kinetic energy of turbulence, and one for its length scale.
